Overview
The Langtang Valley Trek offers the perfect combination of convenience and wilderness, located just a few hours' drive from Kathmandu. Known as the 'Valley of Glaciers,' Langtang National Park protects stunning alpine meadows, sacred lakes, and the traditional Tamang and Sherpa cultures that have thrived here for centuries. Detailed Itinerary
Drive to Syabrubesi
Scenic 7-hour drive through Trisuli valley to the trailhead village of Syabrubesi (1,550m).
Trek to Lama Hotel
Follow the Langtang Khola through dense forests of rhododendron, hemlock, and oak.
Trek to Langtang Village
Emerging from the forest into the dramatic U-shaped glacial valley.
Trek to Kyanjin Gompa
Cross yak pastures to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) beneath the towering Langtang Lirung.
Kyanjin Ri Sunrise & Exploration
Pre-dawn climb to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) for sunrise over the Langtang range.
Trek to Lama Hotel
Retrace the valley downhill through forests and traditional villages.
Trek to Syabrubesi
Final day of trekking back to the trailhead at Syabrubesi.
Drive to Kathmandu
Return drive with farewell dinner in Kathmandu.
Departure
Transfer to the airport for onward journey.
